Twice abandoned, Swerwer still believes in a happy ending

No More Tears Animal Rescue hopes to find two-year-old Swerwer a true forever home after she was abandoned twice.

Despite having been left behind by her owners twice, Swerwer is still hopeful of finding a loving, forever home after being rescued by No More Tears Animal Rescue.

Volunteer Clarisse Kruger explained that Swerwer once had a home and a family. Just over two weeks ago, however, her family moved away and left her behind in the empty yard.

“She was left alone and confused, waiting for someone who was never coming back,” said Kruger.

When the new owners moved into the property, Swerwer was chased away, left without food, water, a kennel or any of the familiar comforts she had known her whole life.

“Lost and scared, Swerwer found a bit of comfort with two young people living on the streets. For a short time, she wasn’t completely alone,” Kruger added.

She was recently abandoned once more when the homeless individuals she had bonded with also moved away and left her behind.

“Despite being abandoned and forgotten twice, Swerwer remains the sweetest and most loving girl,” said Kruger.

Swerwer is now two years old and is hoping that her next home will be her forever home.

“Swerwer finally deserves a happy ending. If you would like to adopt her, please contact Liezel Hefer on 061 478 8872 or apply online at https://nomoretears.org.za/adoption-form/. Let’s make sure she is never left behind again,” Kruger concluded.
