New market in Toekomsrus creates platform for small businesses to thrive

The newly launched Toekies Market brought together 20 local vendors, offering a vibrant mix of food, fashion, plants and unique products while creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs in Toekomsrus.

The spirit of entrepreneurship and community upliftment was on full display with the launch of the Toekies Market on June 6.

The newly established market aims to provide a vibrant platform where local entrepreneurs can come together to showcase and sell their products and services. The initiative is set to play a key role in supporting small businesses and encouraging economic growth within the community.

The launch event featured 20 vendors, each bringing a unique offering to the market. Visitors were treated to a diverse selection of goods, including freshly prepared food, plants, clothing, and a wide range of handcrafted and speciality items.

Beyond being a place to shop, the Toekies Market represents a space for connection, collaboration, and creativity. It allows local business owners to network, grow their customer base, and gain valuable exposure.

One of the event organisers, Enrique Bhana, said they are incredibly proud to bring this initiative to Toekomsrus, creating opportunities for small businesses to grow and connect with the community.
