RCA hosts prize-giving for academic achievers

The Randfontein Christian Academy hosted the senior prize-giving ceremony to celebrate learners achieving academic success.

The Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA) hosted its senior awards evening on February 6 to celebrate their learners’ academic achievements.

Principal Chris Ayres welcomed attendees and the senior choir sang a few numbers. The grade four to eight learners received their prizes. Thereafter the IEB learners received prizes for their achievements.

Mukundi Ratshibvumo – Dux Learner, Highest Average in Mathematics and English, and Most Improved Music Student.

Subsequently, Ayres handed out trophies to the learners who excelled academically. Learners who achieved the highest average in the grade received a trophy. Learners also took floating trophies with titles such as Highest Average in Mathematics, Afrikaans and English, Robotics Learner of the Year, Music Learner of the Year, Most Improved Hip Hop Dancer, Dancer of the Year and Dux Learner.

Ayres then announced the leaders for 2024 and the programme continued with the Matrics 2023 Ceremony.
