Westgold’s Gr 1s all smiles on their first day

As the new Gr 1 learners at Westgold embraced their first day of school, parents expressed how excited they were as well.

The Randfontein Herald visited Westgold Primary where many Grade One learners were eager to start their academic journey.

One of those learners was Bokamoso Mathebula. Her mother expressed that it was a very overwhelming moment to witness her daughter on her first day of school. She also added that she knows Bokamoso is in safe hands.

Refilwe Magcelani’s mother, Babalwa stated she does not feel as ready as she thought she would be and this is a big step for both her and her daughter.

“It is very emotional and we are so excited about this journey. We cannot wait for her to meet new friends. We pray that all the children have a blessed academic year,” Onalerona Medupe’s parents expressed.
