New Gr 8s officially join the RHSian pridelands

Randfontein High School's Grade Eight learners leave their hearts and souls on the stage.

Randfontein High School’s Grade Eight learners held a concert to mark the occasion of them transitioning from ‘cubs’ to ‘fully fledged members of the RHSian pridelands’.

Rodney Prins, the school spokesperson, stated that the Grade Eight concert marks the moment when the learners join the RHS family and officially receive their blazers and wear them.

The concert took place from February 26 to 27.

The theme of the concert was transcendence, and the learners prepared for an entire month for the memorable occasion.

“It was a huge success; more than 700 people showed up to see the concert every night. It was extremely well received by parents, staff and learners alike,” said Rodney.

He added that they received positive feedback from numerous parents and audience members.

“It is a proud tradition, and the value of participating can only be understood when you have experienced it for yourself. It presents learners from different walks of life and different primary schools with a platform that allows them to build a bond that will remain forever,” stated Rodney.
