Toekomsrus community celebrates with the Class of 2025 during glamorous send-off
Toekomsrus community celebrates local learners attending their matric farewell to mark the end of their school careers.
The Toekomsrus community once again stood together to show their support for the Grade 12 learners who are finishing their school year.
Community member Koekie Allie explained that last year, they decided to build a stage where the learners can walk before attending their matric farewell. The idea is for the community to celebrate the learners’ achievements and send them off with pride.
On October 6, learners from Hoërskool Jan Viljoen High School had the opportunity to walk the stage in celebration of their final year of high school.

Koekie added that on October 3, community members gathered to clean the area and decorate the ramp ahead of the event.
“It was a big success, and our community is proud of what we have accomplished,” said Koekie.
Koekie further mentioned that during November and December, similar celebrations will be held for learners from other high schools in the area.
