Toddlers share their Christmas joy and New Year hopes

With the holiday season comes plenty of change and excitement – here’s what the young ones are looking forward to.

The learners of Bob and Wendy’s Nursery School and Aftercare shared their Christmas wishes and hopes for the new year.

Lana Motokolo and Khumo Mokobi explained how they will be spending their Christmas.

Lana said, “Christmas is Jesus Christ’s birthday. I am excited because we give each other presents and eat nice food. Later on, we open the presents.”

Khumo added, “I am going to spend my Christmas Day with my family.”

Three learners who will be heading to primary school next year also shared their excitement for the new adventure.

Isabella Vilane shared her wishes for 2026.

“I am excited to go to Grade One and meet new friends and teachers, and play on the new playground.”

Larona Matlala and Theo Garden both agreed that they are excited to go to the new school to meet new friends and learn new things.
