Readathon challenge brings Rand West schools together

Learners from nine schools impressed judges with thoughtful book reviews and confident presentations.

Several Rand West City high schools recently participated in the Mobi Readathon and Public Speaking competition held at the Mohlakeng Ext 4 Library.

“We had nine schools participating, with four learners from each school taking part. Each learner presented a review of a book of their choice. The learners also read books by local authors, including Trueman Seshoka,” said Rand West City librarian and organiser Thandeka Legae.

TM Letlhake High School emerged as the overall winner, while Westonaria High School secured second place and Randfontein High School finished third.
