NOTICE OF A WATER USE LICENCE APPLICATION FOR THE PROPOSED USE OF BOREHOLES WITHIN THE PROPERTY LIFE RIVERIELD LODGE, 34 SOUTHERNWOODS ROAD, RANDBURG CITY OF JOBURG METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY, GAUTENG PROVINCE Notice issued in terms of the National Water Act 36 of 1998 (NWA); and the Water Use Licence Application and Appeals Regulations, 2017
Life Riverfield Lodge is applying for authorisation to utilise the borehole/s located at 34 Southernwoods Road, Randburg. The property is located within the jurisdiction City of Joburg Metropolitan Municipality roughly 4km east of Lanseria Airport. Application for a water use licence is required before the water use activity may commence on the property.
Florida Park Hotel also intends to submit a Water Use Licence Application (WULA) to the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) for water uses as specified in section 21 of the NWA.
This water use is:
-Section 21 (a) Taking water from a water resource (groundwater).
I&APs will be notified of further details of the WULA once an application has been submitted to DWS.
Florida Park has appointed Geocon Consulting (Pty) Ltd an independent geohydrological consulting firm, to undertake the Water Use Licence Application process.
INVITATION TO REGISTER AS AN I&AP AND TO COMMENT I&APs are invited to register as stakeholders and comment on the Hydrological Assessment Report which is available for public review and comment for a period of 60 days & are available from the people listed below.
