Bodybuilding to keep the youth out of trouble

The Aerobics team from Randfontein won their category.

Getting into shape takes dedication, and the Kagiso Bodybuilding and Fitness Development wants to raise awareness and inspire the youth.

Viking Fitness is a non-profit organisation that wants to help the youth of Kagiso through fitness, and hosted a competition at the Kagiso Hall on Saturday, 21 November.

Their mission is to educate and protect the vulnerable youth in order to have a good and healthy future. They believe everyone has the right to a bright future and are confident that by raising awareness they can help the youth to achieve it.

In addition, they hope that this will keep the youth off the streets and move away from crime and bad influences in the area, and do something that they love.

The event was started by Thulani Sibisi and Albert Ntamane who have been in the sport for a while. Although this is the first year that they were hosting this event, they want to have similar events in Kagiso in future.

The U/18 winners in the competition were Imameleng Mohale (first place) with Tumelo Molefe and Thato Dipmoko taking second and third place respectively.

Alfa Moyo was the overall winner.

Alpha Moyo won first place in the U/23 category with Samuel Matela coming in second and Bafana Sibata placing third, while Mahlabo Siyabong finished first in the U/80 category and David Matela placed second.

The overall bodybuilding winner was Alpha Moyo and the Aerobics team from Randfontein won their category.
