Marx ran onto the field alongside his family before kick-off and went on to produce a standout performance. He scored a try in the second half and was named Man of the Match as Teine defeated Pukke 47–28.

The veteran started playing for the first team in 2009 and, 17 seasons later, is on the verge of cup glory.

The milestone capped a special day for Marx, who helped Teine secure their place in the Grand Challenge final against Northam Rhinos on August 29.
