Bowling club hosts successful tournament
Members of Randfontein Town Bowling Club boasts with yet another successful tournament on local soil.
The Randfontein Town Bowling Club hosted their annual Gerry Gold Bowling Tournament on 21 October and is pleased with the great success the tournament enjoyed.
According to the president of the club, Martiens Botha, there were 96 players who participated in this fun-filled tournament.
“During our halftime break, all the players enjoyed a lunch in our clubhouse and afterwards the 96 players headed back to the pitch for their final play,” says Martiens.
He adds that they had various sponsors who contributed to the success of the event.
One of their main sponsors was Monument Toyota, Randfontein.
“Monument Toyota also used this opportunity to come and exhibit some of their latest vehicles at the event,” says Martiens.
Other sponsors on the day was Glyn Rodel from Systematic Coatings who sponsored the total prize money of R5 000 and Waterboy who sponsored the water to the players.
“We want to thank each and every player who participated in the event as well as all our sponsors.
“Without your help this day would not have been possible.”
