Residents delight in oysters and bubbly

It was a truly elegant affair this past weekend as the Oyster and Bubbly Festival returned to Pretoria.

Guests were treated to a decadent day of wine and champagne tastings at the Pretoria Oyster and Bubbly Festival, with a wide selection of wines and bubblies on offer from established estates and exciting newcomers.

Including well-loved names like Steenberg and Graham Beck to fresh new labels like John B, festivalgoers had the chance to sip, sample, and explore a broad range of flavours.

The pairing of freshly flown-in oysters – more than 2 200 in total – with sparkling wines set the tone for a luxurious afternoon. Live music added to the vibrant atmosphere, while the Tuscan-inspired setting of Casa Toscana gave the event a European flair.

Perfect late winter weather rounded off the weekend, allowing guests to savour their tastings outdoors in the courtyard and gardens. The festival once again proved why it remains a highlight on Pretoria’s social calendar – an experience of fine food, good music, and indulgent celebration.
