Coffee lovers brew up a storm at festival
The Silverlakes Farm Hotel came alive on Saturday as coffee enthusiasts from across Tshwane gathered for a day filled with flavour, fun, and festivities.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee hung over Silverlakes Farm Hotel this past Saturday as the much-anticipated Coffee Festival brought together roasters, foodies, and coffee lovers for a day of indulgence and discovery.
Locals had the chance to explore the Roasters Village, where top local coffee roasters showcased their best beans and brews, from rich espressos to silky cappuccinos.
At the Brew and Sample bars, guests sipped their way through a wide variety of blends while also learning about the art of brewing.
The festival wasn’t just about coffee – visitors were treated to baked goods, gelato, artisanal food stalls, craft beer, wine, and live entertainment, all set against the green backdrop of the hotel grounds.

“This festival is paradise for coffee lovers,” said attendee Carla Joynt.
“I never knew there were so many different ways to brew coffee. The tastings were an eye-opener.”

Another guest, Jaundré Roux, said the atmosphere made the experience even more special.
“It felt like a celebration of community. I came for the coffee, but I stayed for the music and the food. I’ll definitely be back next year.”
