The police are looking for three suspects who recently robbed an elderly couple in their eighties at their house in Van Riebeek Street, Lyttelton.
The suspects took cash, two cell phones (a Nokia and a Samsung), a television set, meat in the freezer and fled with the couple’s white 1993 Nissan — registration number DNC 428 GP.
According to police, the gardener employed by the couple, might have orchestrated the robbery.

Gumbu said the suspects entered the house and tied the couple with electric cables and shoelaces while the gardener was outside monitoring their movements. They also cut off the landline. Police are appealing to the community to come up with any information that might lead to their arrest. Call the Lyttelton police station at 012-644-8600.
