A seven-year-old girl from Eersterust found her father dead in a pool of blood.
Constable Sam Shibambo, spokesperson from Eersterust police station, said police were on Thursday still searching for murderers of the father.
Shibambo said the discovery was made last Friday afternoon when the child arrived back home from school.
The 40-year-old victim was found in his bedroom with an open wound to his chest at his home in Kawie Avenue.
He said the child screamed for her neighbour’s help when she made the discovery.
“It is believed the victim was killed during a house break-in attempt, because electronic components were stolen from the house,” Shibambo said.
