House robber found in cupboard
Police arrested a suspect when he was found hiding in a cupboard after he broke into a house in Moreleta Park on Wednesday morning.

A man faces charges of house break-in after he was found hidden in a cupboard in Moreleta Park on Wednesday morning, police said.
The suspect, aged between 20 and 25, allegedly activated the security alarm when he broke into the house at 11:30.
“He gained entry to the house by smashing a large window. Police responded to the security alarm and the house was surrounded while we awaited back-up,” said Garsfontein police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller.
Upon arrival, police entered the house and found the suspect h cidden in a kitchen cupboard. “We retrieved all the stolen items and immediately arrested him. He also faces charges of possession of stolen property,” Miller said.
Police investigations include any links between the suspect and other house robberies in the area. “The Garsfontein police sees this as a breakthrough regarding house robberies in the area and we are positive we will find further cases regarding break-ins. This was good work done by the Pretoria Dog Unit, the Flying Squad and the police,” said Miller.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
