The Boschkop area experienced an ATM bombing in the early hours of Wednesday morning when an FNB ATM was blown up at the MBS Centre in Pienaarspoort, police said.
According to police, the ATM was only installed at the premises three weeks ago and only started to function the day before the bombing. “The premises are still under construction and no cameras were activated during the night of the incident,” said police spokesperson Captain Marissa van der Merwe.
No injuries were reported during the bombing. “We are calling on members of the community to report any information regarding the bombing to the Boschkop police station,” said Van der Merwe.
