Centurion without power

The Tshwane Metro on Thursday said power in Eldoraigne, Hennopspark and Wierdapark will only be restored by Friday.

Residents in Eldoraigne, Hennopspark and Wierdapark are without power due to theft at the Eldoraigne substation, the Tshwane Metro said on Thursday afternoon.

“Technicians are attending to the problem. It is estimated that power will only be restored by Friday.”

Affected customers are urged to report power failures by sms the word power followed by your account number to 082 612 0333. Or report a power failure to 012 358 9999, choosing the electricity option or 080 111 556.

Consumers are advised to treat all electrical points “AS LIVE”.

Switch off all non-essential appliances to assist with the load on the electrical network.
