Dogs brutally attack another

(WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT- NOT FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS) A gruesome video of two dogs ripping another apart have gone viral.

A video, being shared by email, of two dogs viciously ripping another apart has recently gone viral.

The video was apparently taken by an onlooker in Akasia and shows how two dogs attack and literally rip a smaller dog apart.

According to the email and video forwarded by the local community policing forum (CPF), the two dogs supposedly jumped over the fence and attacked the smaller dog.

The smaller dog was allegedly walking down the street.

According to Korky Levanon, who has also seen the video, the video is being shared via email and have already reached thousands.

Levanon said the video was absolutely appalling. “It is very sad that a innocent dog had to die such a cruel death,” she said.

According to a resident from the area, who would like to stay anonymous, the dogs shown in the video have never, according to her, been a problem in the area before.

Levanon explained that the Tshwane Metro’s bylaws state that it is the responsibility of owners to keep their dogs within their yards.

She added that this applies for both the owner of the pit-bull terriers and the dog who was walking in the street.

“Dog owners, especially those who own a dangerous animal, should take special precaution to ensure that their animals are locked in and do not pose a threat to the community.”

Levanon said that dog owners should exercise with them regularly. “If a dog frequently exercises, they will not feel the need to escape and explore by themselves.”

Levanon said that residents could report it if owners do not ensure their animals are kept in their yard. Report it at 012-358-4656.
