Race For Friendship
Runners can choose to take part in either the 5 km, 10 km or 21.1 km starting from The Fields, on the corner of Hilda and Burnett streets.
Avid runners can grab their gear and start to warm up as The Sungarens Hospice is hosting its annual Race For Friendship, Hope Starts in Hatfield 2014 on Saturday 5 July in Hatfield.
Runners can choose to take part in either the 5 km, 10 km or 21.1 km starting from The Fields, on the corner of Hilda and Burnett streets. Athletes wanting to take part can pre-enter at the The Fields Centre Management Office, Ground Floor, 1066 Burnett Street, register online at www.enteronline.co.za or enter on the day from 05:00.
So dust off your tekkies and start training. The first 300 pre-entries will each receive a free T-shirt and medals will be awarded to the first 4 000 participants.
There will also be spot prizes for the most original friendship outfit so let the creative juices flo.
The 10 km and 21.1 km race will start at 07:00 and the 5 km race will kick off at 07:10.
Costs to take part in the event include: R30 for the 5 km, R50 for the 30 km and R60 for the 21.1 km. Runners not registered on the day must purchase a temporary licence fort he 10 and 21.1 km race at a cost of R30.
