Stolen vehicles were discovered at a panel beater in Pretoria West on Wednesday evening.
Two police officers from the Pretoria West police station received a tip-off from a tracking company after a tracker signal went off in one of the vehicles.
Spokesperson Constable Lerato Ngomane said police officers and an employee from the tracking company found the stolen cars at the panel beater in Mitchell Street.
“The gates were locked, but on further investigation the police officers spotted a white VW Golf 7 and determined that it was stolen in Rustenburg in May,” she said.
When the officers jumped over the wall, people working on the premises scattered and fled.
A red BMW 1 found in the yard was stolen in Atteridgeville in June.
Ngomane said investigations are continuing.
