Three armed men robbed a guest house in Hippo avenue in Zwartkop after they tied up the workers.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hero Gumbu the three robbers, aged between 25 and 35, entered the yard armed with two guns and a knife. They approached the two of the workers and tied them up with shoelaces before they ordered the workers not to scream for help or fight back.
“The suspects demanded money from the workers and asked about the owner who at that time was not around. They stole six plasma televisions and several sheets before they fled the scene,” Gumbu said.
No one was injured in the robbery. The workers managed to untie themselves hours later before they called for help. A case of robbery has been opened and investigations are underway.
