Police were this week still searching for two men who robbed a house in Clubview earlier this month. Police spokesperson Captain Agnes said the two entered the house around 14:35 in the afternoon while the complainant was outside. As she re-entered the house, she heard footsteps moving upstairs. She thought it was her nephew.
Huma said the victim went to the lounge and ran into a man with a screwdriver in his hands. “She asked him what he wanted. The suspect called his friend who came running down the stairs with a laptop and some tools. The victim then shouted for her brother’s help and the two suspects pushed her down.”
The two men fled in a white VW vehicle. “The victim’s brother then shot at the suspects and one was injured as there was blood next to the gate,” said Huma.
A house robbery docket had been opened at the Wierdabrug police station.
