Hijacked car, burnt bodies discovered

Police are investigating a case of murder and kidnapping after the burnt out bodies of two people were recently found in Hartebeespoortdam.

Police suspect the two charred bodies of people, that was recently discovered in an abandoned vehicle in Hartebeespoort Dam, comes from a suburb in Gauteng.

North West police’s spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone confirmed the bodies of two people were found on Sunday. He said that the bodies were found in the backseat of an abandoned vehicle.

Mokgwabone said to Rekord a case of murder, as well as kidnapping was being investigated by police.

“It appears that the victims were high jacked and kidnapped before they were killed. The police have added a case of robbery and kidnapping to the murder docket.”

No suspects have been arrested.

Police say it appears one of the victims was shot in the head.

He also said police investigations showed that the victims were last seen in Lonehill Johannesburg and might have been high jacked before they were brutally killed.
