Robbers hit cash-in-transit vehicle
Armed robbers fled Wonderpark Mall with an undisclosed amount of money and weapons after they robbed a G4S cash-in-transit vehicle.
Three armed men robbed a G4S cash-in-transit vehicle at Wonderpark Mall on Monday, Akasia police spokesperson Captain Riana van Aarde said.
They fled the scene around noon in a golden Toyota Hilux Bakkie and a silver Volkswagen Polo with an undisclosed amount of money and weapons.
She said the police were investigating and urged anyone with useful information to alert the police immediately.
This was the second armed robbery at Wonderpark Mall in the past week. A cellphone shop was robbed a week ago after robbers took cellphones and modems from the shop.
The spokesperson for G4S could not be reached immediately.
