Five men are wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place at Engen garage in Central City, Winterveld, on Sunday morning.
Police spokesman Brigadier Neville Malila said five men armed with rifles entered the Engen garage and ordered people to lie down.
“Suspects hit the tills with a pick trying to open it and used explosives to open a drop safe. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen before the men fled the scene.”
Malila said the men got away in a maroon VW Caravelle and a white Golf.
He said investigations were underway and no one has been arrested yet.
