The Cool Capital Biennale enters its second month
The Cool Capital Biennale continues.

It has been a month and a couple of weeks since the Cool Capital Biennale started, and so far it has been an amazing experience for the city and commuters of Pretoria. The beauty of the city has been explored and the rediscovering of the city’s history has been a life experience.
Well, it’s not over yet, the fun continues. This week is another exciting week filled with so much to do around the city with friends and family. The “Our Capital Sculpture” exhibition is still on, and will run until 16 November. It consists of a number of sculptures scattered throughout the city, and the exploration aspect of the exhibition adds an element of excitement and surprise. Civic art and sculpture forms a major part of the Biennale. Exhibition is free of charge. Anyone who would like further information can contact Elani Willemse at elani@angustaylor.co.za or on 012-803-2369.
Another ongoing exhibition during the Biennale is the PPC Public Benches, where public benches will be erected in and around the city in order to celebrate our sculptural heritage and future. If you would like to see the artistic benches, you can contact Francois Visser for the map of the city at francoisvisser@telkomsa.net or on 082-337-9674.
For theatre lovers there is a collection of drama productions of various genres, including Flokkulasie on 8 October. It is storytelling in new,
refreshing styles. The day is about introducing children to the theatre. Reach for a Dream is also part of the production, and one child will get the chance to be on stage for the first time in their life. One ticket sponsors a new audience member. To book your ticket, contact Ursula Foster on ursfos@gmail.com. The production will take place at the Atterbury Theatre in Lynnwood Ridge.
From 8-11 October, Molo Mollo will host Blikskottel Redux, a film screening. It will take place at Jardown, 384 Vermeulen Street at 19:30. To book your ticket, contact Paul Jordaan on cinemaclub@molomollo.co.za or visit www.molomollo.co.za. Bring your own chair. More information will be supplied once booking is done.
