The boyfriend of Marilize van Emmenis, the pole dancer who appeared in a sex video with rugby player Joost van der Westhuizen, was arrested for being in the possession of drugs yesterday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Mirna von Benecke said Wayne Ackerman was taken into custody after he was allegedly caught with half a packet of the drug CAT.
Von Benecke said Ackerman was walking next to the side of the road in the direction of the Kolonnade shopping centre in the north of Pretoria when the Sinoville police stopped and searched him.
Von Benecke said he was immediately arrested and would appear in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
Van Emmenis was arrested for the possession of drugs in Ackerman’s Montana home last week. At the time of her arrest, no drugs was found in his possession.
Ackerman spent Wednesday night in a cell in the Kameeldrift police station, where Van Emmenis was also held last week.
Van Emmenis was released on bail of R500 last week and will appear in court again on 9 December.
