Tortured Ugandan toddler recovering

The Ugandan toddler who was brutally assaulted by her 22-year-old nanny is recovering well at home.

The two-year-old Ugandan girl who was brutally beaten by her 22-year-old nanny in a viral video is reportedly recovering well at home.

After being thrown to the floor, her tiny body kicked and her bum beaten with a blunt object, Arnella Kamanzi (2) received medication and is recovering well.

The world was in disbelief when home CCTV footage depicted the brutal torture and assault of the girl by her nanny Jolly Tumuhiirwe (22).

Tumuhiirwe is currently in prison, facing charges of attempted murder and is expected to make her second appearance in court on 8 December.

Tumuhiirwe’s arrest came after the toddler’s father, Erick Kamanzi, came home on 15 November to find bruises on his daughter.

After hastily viewing camera footage from his home and seeing the torture upon his child, he attacked and assaulted Tumuhiirwe.

The 22-year-old nanny apparently ran to the police to open a case of assault against Kamanzi, who was then arrested.

Kamanzi was released shortly after he showed police the brutal video.
