
A Hercules couple was arrested in Booysens on Thursday for being in possession of drugs, police spokesperson, Captain Bonginkosi Msimango said.
A man and his wife, aged 25 and 27 respectively, were caught dealing in drugs at Mintjie’s place in Booysens.
“The Hercules intelligence unit received information about the house where they were dealing in drugs. They conducted follow up observations and on Thursday they applied for a search warrant and executed it.”
Msimango said Cat and TIK worth R1 500 was found in their possession and in the safe in the house.
“We urge the community to keep coming forward with information so that we can eradicate the drug problem in our area,” Msimango said.
The community is urged to please come forward with any information regarding drug hotspots in the area so that police can follow up on it.
The man and his wife will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon.
