Danville teen disappears
Worried parents have urged the Danville community to help them find their missing daughter.
A 12-year-old girl from Danville disappeared five days ago and her parents have urged the community to help them find her.
Moloko du Plessis has been missing since last Wednesday from her home and her worried mother, Malemela du Plessis, spoke to Rekord on Monday morning.
“I am numb, cannot eat or do anything. She is my only child and I am worried about her.”
Malemela said she grounded her daughter on the evening of her disappearance.
“I grounded Moloko for repeatedly doing something I had asked her not to do. She was fine and at about 23:00 she asked to go to sleep. My husband and I went to sleep at about 23:30 and I think she must have waited for us to sleep before she left.”
Malemela said this was the first time her daughter had disappeared in such a manner.
“I called her friends and family and she is not there. My husband and I drive around the area every day to see if we can find her.”
When Moloko left home she was wearing denim shorts, a pink top and brown boots. She has reddish hair and brown eyes, she is about 1,35m in height and has a burn mark on her thigh.
