Boyfriend shoots girlfriend then himself
A 52-year-old businesswoman was shot and killed by her boyfriend before he turned the gun on himself, police said.
A 52-year-old Hammanskraal businesswoman has been shot and killed by her boyfriend before he killed himself, spokesperson Constable Petunia Chabangu said on Monday.
Chabangu said this happened on Sunday morning at the boyfriend’s (61) house in New Eersterust, Hammanskraal.
“Police received a call at 07:30 on Sunday morning from a member of the community. We arrived to find that the woman was shot three times in the upper body while the man had shot himself,” she said.
The couple died on the scene. Chabangu said the reason for the murder is unknown.
The woman has owned several funeral parlours around Pretoria.
