Two children missing after hijacking
Authorities are looking for two children who jumped from a vehicle after they were nearly hijacked in Centurion. The hijackers allegedly fled the scene in the hijacked vehicle with the mother still inside.
Half of Centurion’s residents and authorities are out combing the street for two lost children who jumped out of a vehicle after the vehicle they were travelling in got hijacked on Wednesday night.
According to Chris Evans, chairman of Lyttelton CPF LS7, a mother and her two children were hijacked at 20:45 by four men on the corner of Rabie and End Streets. He said the alleged hijackers fled the scene in the hijacked vehicle with the mother still in it.
“An eyewitness informed us that the children jumped out of the City Golf and ran into the field.”
He said they are all hands of deck searching for the lost children.
He said members from CPF LS1, LS5, Lyttelton CrimeStop, Lytcom, ADT, MonitorNet, CopWatch and police are combing the streets for the children.
If motorists or residents spot the children they are urged to contact 012-004-1111 or alternatively contact 0861-571-911.
The incident has not yet been confirmed by police.
