Centurion concerned citizens (CCC) has issued a warning for residents to be on the lookout for a smash-and-grabber active on Rooihuiskraal Road, near the N14.
“We suspect that it may be one guy active in the area, as most smash-and-grabbers operate in one area that they know well,” said Hannes du Buisson of CCC.
One CCC patroller who responded to a call described the thief as a tall man wearing a red shirt.
“Anyone who sees anything suspicious in the area should immediately contact CCC who will then respond. Furthermore we urge anyone driving to be extremely cautious and put any valuables out of sight. We recently responded to a call where someone’s window was smashed, and a baby bag with nappies was stolen, nothing else. Thieves will target anything they might think has value,” said Du Buisson.
