A man was found dead in Akasia, north of Pretoria, on Monday.
Police spokesperson Constable Reneilwe Makwalo said an inquest docket had been opened to determine the circumstances surrounding the unidentified man’s death.
She said the cause of death had not been determined. “There are some injuries to the man’s body but we cannot confirm what caused the injuries.”
Other details, such as where the man was found, were also not immediately available.
“We can confirm that the body was not yet decomposed. We cannot confirm if there was a struggle and we cannot confirm how the man died. We are still waiting for the investigation to be completed before we have more information,” she said.
