Two men and a woman were arrested on Monday after an attempted burglary at a Laudium garage, police said.
Captain Reed Steynberg said the owner of the house had locked all the windows and doors, including the garage door of his property, and went to bed. “The owner then received a phone call from one of the neighbours to inform him that people were trying to break into the garage.”
When the owner went out to have a look, he found the garage had been broken into and among other items mag rims had been carried out of the garage. The items had not yet been taken away.
Public Servant News Network Pretoria posted on its Facebook page that the Laudium Extension 2 community patrollers had seen the three men and chased after them, but could not catch them: “They [the patrollers] were able to take down the vehicle number plates which led to the arrest of the three suspects”.”
Two man and a woman were taken into custody and would appear in court soon.
