Man killed for allegedly stealing a goat
A man in Ekangala died after being assaulted by people from the community for allegedly stealing a goat.

A man died after community members allegedly beat him for stealing a goat in Ekangala, Bronkhorstspruit, on Thursday morning.
Captain Marissa van der Merwe of Bronkhorstspruit police said the 21-year-old male passed away at the Ekangala clinic due to severe injuries to his body.
“According to a witness, the 21-year-old was chased by a few community members on Wednesday who accused him of stealing a goat. He was running for his life when he was caught and assaulted by members of the community,” said Van Der Merwe.
The man ended up at the Ekangala clinic where he passed away due to injuries he sustained. Van der Merwe said the police are still trying to identify the suspects with the help of the community, but no arrests have been made so far.
A case of murder has been opened by the Bronkhorstspruit police and investigations are going on.
