The parents of two children will appear in court soon after they were arrested on Monday afternoon when police found drugs in their possession.
According to Warrant Officer Wanda Olivier, spokesperson for Wonderboompoort police, the pair were arrested at 16:10 in the Mayville area.
She said police spotted a suspicious unlocked and unoccupied white Ford Lazer near the mail boxes at Mayville Mall. They waited at the vehicle and when a suspicious looking man and woman returned, police searched the vehicle.
Olivier said the couple stayed with their two children in Mountain View. “Police found five CAT straws, wrapping, one ‘lollie’ that is used for smoking TIK, two large sachets with TIK and three smaller bags with TIK.”
