Soshanguve police have arrested 21 people on Friday during a crime prevention operation in the area.
Police spokesperson Constable Reneilwe Makwalo said among the arrested were eight were detained for illegal gambling and a further six were illegal immigrants. “We arrested six others for possession of dagga and one for assault,” she said.
During the operation, which started at 14:00 and was done by 22:00, one suspected stolen vehicle was recovered.
Makwalo said the people will appear in the Soshanguve magistrate’s court on Monday.
