A 16-year-old boy was recently arrested after he allegedly stabbed a 32-year-old man to death in Mamelodi East.
A passer-by found the half-naked body of the man next to a stream with a stab wound last Thursday and alerted the police, said Mamelodi East police spokesperson Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe.
“The suspect was arrested the same day.”
An eyewitness said the victim had been in a fight with another man. Afterwards, he went to stream to wash away blood from the fight.
“He was followed and was stabbed from behind. His attacker ran away.”
Mbewe said: “A murder docket has been opened and our investigation continues.”
