Six held over drugs in Centurion
Six men were arrested in Centurion on Tuesday when drugs worth thousands were found in their possession.
The Tshwane metro police have arrested six people in Centurion after drugs worth thousands were found in their possession.
Metro police spokesperson Superintendent Kuki Tshabalala said a man of Nigerian origin was captured in Lyttelton on Tuesday after officers observed his house for a while.
Drugs with a street value of about R 7 350 was found in his possession.
These drugs included LSD worth R 50, crystal methamphetamine worth R 3 000, CAT worth R 3 800 and crack cocaine (rocks) worth R 350. A pipe used to smoke ‘rocks’ was also found.
Tshabalala said the man had been charged with dealing and possession of drugs.
Two other men were arrested in the Reeds when officers found dagga to the value of R 800.
On their way back to the police station with the offenders, the officers noticed something odd about a pedestrian they were passing. They stopped, searched the man and found drug paraphernalia in his possession.
Two more suspected dealers were arrested in the Wierdabrug area the same day when officers found CAT to the value of R 400 in their possession.
The men are being detained at the Wierdabrug and Lyttelton police stations.
