Police in Erasmia arrested a 22-year-old man who was found in possession of stolen property.
Constable Tumisang Moloto said police were patrolling the area at 20:30 when they saw a suspicious-looking man carrying a white bag.
“Police then stopped and asked the man where he was going, but he failed to give them a reasonable answer. The bag was searched and 12 packets of Bosch brake pads and fan belts were found in his possession,” Moloto said. “The items recovered are valued at R3 000,” Moloto said.
The suspect was charged with possession of stolen property and will appear in court soon.
