Man’s contact details used to sell stolen bakkie

Man from Pretoria Garden’s contact details are being used to sell a stolen bakkie.

The contact details of a man from Pretoria Gardens are being used to sell a stolen bakkie.

According to a community Facebook page, the bakkie has been reported stolen and is being sold illegally.

“I do not know what is going on. I used to own the bakkie before and sold it end of last year. The problem is that the number used on the advertised bakkie is my number and I do not know anything,” Cas Pretorius said.

“When I bought the bakkie, I took it to the police station to get a clearance to show that it is not stolen or anything.”

He said he did not know where the people who posted the photos got them.

“I do not know who posted the photos on Facebook and I believe a case has been opened at the police station of theft. My only problem is that my number is now being using to sell this bakkie.”

Anyone with information on the matter could call the Hercules police station on 012-377-4100.

Police comment could not be obtained immediately.
