The Amandasig Community Police Forum (CPF) has urged citizens to be on the lookout for a suspicious car whose passengers were throwing bottles at pedestrians for no apparent reason.
According to Erich Landsberg, operations manager at the Amandasig CPF, a silver Daihutsu Charade, registration VPZ 065/506 GP was driving around in the area when passengers in the car threw a bottle at passing pedestrians, injuring at least one person.
According to Santi Steinmann, spokesperson for Netcare 911, one man was injured in the attack.
“The man was apparently walking with a woman and two children when he was hit against the head with a bottle. Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene, and treated the man. He is in a mild to moderate condition.”
Landsberg added that anyone with any info on the suspects should contact the CPF on 060 627 7120.
