A man was hijacked when he stopped at a traffic light in Rooihuiskraal on Monday night, Centurion Concerned Citizen spokesperson Hannes Du Buisson said.
Du Buisson said the man drove a white BMW, registration BR82DZGP, when a black BMW stopped behind him around 21:55 on the corner of Kestrel and Uitsig roads.
“Four armed men jumped out and pointed firearms at the man.” They pulled him out of the car and made him lie on the ground, Du Buisson said. “They drove off with his car. The crime was reported on Zello and we dispatched our reaction team. Unfortunately the car had no tracker installed,” he said.
He said the man’s cellphone in the stolen car could not be tracked.
