Rietgat police have started a manhunt for two burglary suspects who broke into a house at block P in Soshanguve and left it empty.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Lolo Mangena urged residents to alert the police as soon as they see a grey Toyota Corolla with the registration number DJ28BWGP.
Mangena said two men broke into the Soshanguve house on Tuesday and fled with goods and other valuables believed to be worth over R20 000.
He said the suspects took a plasma television, clothes, and other portable valuables. “The complainant left for work leaving his house closed and locked. He received a call from neighbours informing him that a burglary was taking place at his house,” said Mangena.
The complainant rushed back home and on his arrival, found that his house had been broken into.
“He was told there had been a grey Toyota Corolla with registration number DJ28BWGP with two occupants inside,” said Mangena.
The suspects are unknown and gained entry through a broken burglar door.
