Two men robbed the Tsibana Guest House in Arcadia on Tuesday, police said.
Spokesperson Sergeant Asnath Melatsi said on Friday they also stole a customer’s car.
“A worker in the guest house said she was talking to customers at the reception desk when two men rung the bell outside. She opened the gate for them. They pointed a gun at her and demanded money and cellphones,” Melatsi said.
“The men then accosted two customers who had arrived in a Range Rover and demanded the keys. They took R700 at the reception desk and drove off in the Rover. It is believed that the men have been following the car.”
Melatsi said the Range Rover was recovered abandoned at Barclays Square on Thursday. No arrests had been made and the police investigation was continuing.
