The fight rages on against drugs during long weekend

Tshwane metro police not taking a break during the Easter weekend as they continue in their fight against drugs.

The Tshwane metro police along with other authorities arrested 16 people on Thursday in the Moot, Silverton and Pretoria North area for dealing in and being in the possession of drugs.

Metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said on Friday  six small bags of crystal meth, 15 small bags of cat, 36 small bags of dagga and R6 200 in cash were seized.

“We will continue to fight against drugs around Tshwane and will continue to conduct such operations,” he said.

He said those arrested would appear in court soon.
