Bob Hewitt to be sentenced
Tennis legend Bob Hewitt will be sentenced for rape on Monday at the North Gauteng High Court.
Former Grand Slam tennis champion Bob Hewitt will appear at the North Gauteng High Court on Monday after he was convicted for rape.
Hewitt (75) was found guilty of two counts of rape and one of sexual assault in March after he raped two girls he gave tennis lessons to in the 80s.
He also sexually assaulted another.
Hewitt pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
According to reports, the former tennis player’s attorney could request a postponement of the sentencing as they received a report by an expert witness, whom the prosecution wanted to call upon in aggravation of sentencing, on Thursday.
